Aquila Wight (allium sativum ophioscorodon - hardneck). Ideal for recipes from mountainous Abruzzo region where it originates, 50 miles east of Rome. It has a definite bouquet which holds through in the cooking. Best planted in the autumn. Keeps better than many hardnecks up to February the year after harvest.
