Picardy Wight (allium sativum - softneck). Originating from the Picardy region in Northern France where it grows well on the battlefields of the great war.Adapted to cooler, wetter conditions, this variety will grow anywhere in the UK that has proved a challenge to other garlic types.In its native region it is plaited & smoked due to its longevity. Strong, sometimes fierce in flavour it never fails to disappoint the discerning pallet.Planting December - January & goods results as late as April. As with Solent Wight, equally suited for plaiting.SORRY, SOLD OUT!
