October Half Term at The Garlic Farm

17 Oct to 01 Nov

Everything is a little different this year so we thought we’d update you on what’s going on a the farm this October half term.

Our farm shop and restaurant are open as usual 9am to 5pm everyday with the restaurant open for selected evenings. See calendar below.

At busy times it is strongly advised that you make a reservation if you wish to dine in our restaurant. No reservation is required to visit the farm shop or farm walks.

Free parking as usual and free access to the children’s play area.

Farm animals such as our chickens, highland cattle, goats, peacocks, horses and fancy black pigeons (Polish Lynx) can be seen in various places around the farm site.

We’ve had to curtail some of our activities at the farm due to Covid restrictions so we’d like to encourage all our visitors to put on their wellies and get out onto our farm walks to enjoy the countryside, rain or shine. It is autumn so there’s no garlic to be seen growing at the moment but there are plenty of other things to look out for…

For adults we have an informative farm walk map (50p) available showing historical and archeological information. For children, we have a Nature Activity Book (£2.50) or a Nature Scavenger Hunt (free) to keep small people entertained and engaged along the way.

Book in for guided Nature Walks with Dave Fairlamb Tuesdays during October.

For evening entertainment, look out for our Family Suppers with Magic and Once in a Blue Moon Illuminated Lantern Walk – see dates on this calendar. Booking Essential via thecafe@thegarlicfarm.co.uk

We look forward to welcoming you to the farm this October half term.
