October

Dates Description Location Book
Tuesday 17 Oct - 26 Nov Local Artist Spotlight: Rebecca Robinson, 16 Oct – 26 Nov

We have local artists displaying in The Garlic Farm restaurant. Each month is dedicated to one artist's work. Works are available to purchase and are priced individually.

Rebecca Robinson, a former London based Fine Artist , now lives and works from her tranquil garden studio on the beautiful Isle of Wight.

She uses ordinary, discarded , overlooked and found objects to make extraordinary work creating art that is a simple expression of a complex idea and underpinned by extensive research and detailed preliminary drawings.

Her sought after paintings and textile pieces often incorporate found objects and materials particular to the site of reference. Dust, builders debris, antique textiles and plant matter for example are used to create unique and evocative works.

June

Dates Description Location Book
Friday 8 - 9 Jun 2018 Pop-Up Opera - Bastien & Bastienne and The Impresario
Opera

The Summer 2018 production is a Mozart double bill: Bastien & Bastienne and The Impresario – two delicious one act comedies in which a pair of lovers tease and test their feelings for each other, and a pair of actresses battle it out to be the prima donna. Both are brilliant fun pieces - Mozart is a popular composer and the music is gorgeous. The two pieces work very well together bringing two engaging stories that sit either side of the dinner interval.
