Allium ampeloprasum (Hardneck): A fun member of the allium family, Elephant garlic can grow, with adequate water, to 150mm across and weigh over a kilo. Occurring in the wild in parts of Western Europe and in the UK along the Cornish coast. Roast it and impress your friends. It has a warm mild garlic flavour but is increasingly popular with those who like to make a statement in their cooking.

Expected size: 70 - 150mm(estimated)
Planted: October - February (Optimum October-December, Dependant on Season)

PLEASE NOTE: We are doing our bit to reduce food waste in our industry - therefore your order will be dispatched as whole bulbs or as loose cloves of the equivalent bulb count ordered, this ensures that we don't waste good quality produce. Please ensure that you open your parcel as soon as it arrives, and store the garlic in cool, shaded and well ventilated area such as a shed or garage, until planting.
