Get involved at The Garlic Lover's Garden

Do you want to come and get involved with our exciting new venture?

We are creating a 1 acre, organic and no-dig market garden, The Garlic Lover's Garden, in the meadow opposite our shop and restaurant. The garden will grow organic produce for the restaurant and shop as as well as providing a space for education. We will be hosting workshops, courses and tours, to teach no-dig gardening, composting, fermentation, preserving and more.

Join us and book your place on either 24th January or 31st januray when we will be taking the first steps to convert an empty field into a productive garden. Together we will learn how to plant trees, make no dig beds, lay woodchip pathways, sow the first seeds and create great compost. These first days will be very special, as we will see the  garden develop before our eyes!

Getting involved is free and includes:
- Work to suit your physical abilities
- Refreshments for all
- 20% off in the restaurant for all helpers*
- Tools and gardening gloves provided
- Children and adults welcome,* no previous gardening experience necessary

Wear warm, suitable clothes and footwear (wellies or workboots) and arrive in time for a 10am start. 

*20% off voucher valid for the day will be given on arrival, please book your table for lunch to avoid disappointment
*Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult
