Since we began our B Corp journey over five years ago, we have been diligently measuring our impact across every area of the business.

Celebrating our B Corp birthday

Today, 23rd August 2024, marks our first B Corp birthday! One year ago today we achieved B Corp Certification, demonstrating high standards of social and environmental performance and joining a community of like-minded organisations using business as a force for good.

Introducing Our Innovative Wormery: Transforming Food Waste into 'Black Gold'

Thanks to the generosity of our Island neighbours, we are experimenting with a wormery. The hope is to use the 'worm castings' generated by the worms in this specialist device to create a nutrient-rich, natural fertiliser for our fields. Worms are the engineers of the soil, they do incredible things, it's great to have them on the garlic team!

Learning about certified organic seed garlic in the Drôme

Our recent visit to the Drôme region of France confirmed that the garlic heritage and expertise in this region is exceptional. Three certified organic growers that we work with in the area where the Rhône and the Drôme rivers meet have more than 50 years of specialist garlic growing between them. How to save the world together? A supplier event at The Garlic Farm

Measuring and understanding social and environmental impact is a big task. The B Corp model helps with this, it is a map as well as an audit. By considering people and planet alongside prosperity, companies that follow B Corp certification are changing business, for good. This, our second supplier event, was a chance to engage with our collaborators and share ideas. It was really good!

The phrase "let’s talk rubbish" might not appeal, on the surface. But delve deeper and there's an ancient process of turning waste, which we don’t like, into compost, which we do.
